Neil wins South African Leg of 2010 Global Pizza Challenge
Posted: on March 29, 2010

Neil Jewell – our Bread & Wine Vineyard Restaurant head chef and the local Charcuterie King – won the South African leg of the 2010 Global Pizza Challenge.

This means that in May 2010 Neil will be heading off to Melbourne to represent South Africa in finals of the Global Pizza Challenge. Awesome!

The pizza that clinched first place had a smoked flour base topped with aubergine, confit of Karoo lamb, sheeps’ feta, buchu and quince dressing. Sounds delicious doesn’t it? Well if you head out to Bread & Wine you’ll find it on the menu!

I don’t know how long it’ll be there so I suggest doing lunch sooner rather than later.

Môreson wines featured in this weeks Cybercellar Newsletter
Posted: on March 11, 2010

There was a really nice write up about Môreson wines in the most recent Cybercellar Newsletter.

I’ve been receiving (and devouring) these newsletters for a little over a year now. I thoroughly enjoy the level of detail they include and they have inspired me to visit a number of lesser-known farms I would have ordinary not considered.

If you’re looking for a good weekly wine-related read you can subscribe to the Cybercellar Newsletter by clicking here. If you look down the left hand side (you might have to scroll down a little) you’ll find the newsletter subscription block.
