Get Your French on in Franschhoek this weekend!
Posted: Nikki on July 16, 2010

In case you didn’t receive the memo we are celebrating Bastille, this weekend, in Franschhoek. The weather report promises sunshine and the marquee promises phenomenal wines and spectacular food. Brilliant!

If you’re in the marquee pop round to the Môreson stall and say hi, we’d really love to see you.

If you can’t wait for tomorrow feel free to pop into the farm this afternoon. Pick up a case of wine – the Môreson Petit Verdot is drinking excellently – some of Neil’s excellent charcuterie and, on your way out, you can take part in our barrel-rolling trials and team selection.

Yes Bastille, in Franschhoek, is a truly magical affair!

Miss Molly Wine at the Wedding
Posted: Nikki on June 30, 2010

Below is a great picture we received from some of our Miss Molly fans (you should be able to see the bottle of Miss Molly In My Bed in the background). Unfortunately the quality of the picture isn’t the best but, hopefully, they’ll send through some better ones in the not too distant future!

The gorgeous Weimeraner in the picture isn’t our Miss Molly it’s the bride and groom’s chief bridesmaid, Breeze.

Franschhoek Literary Festival
Posted: Nikki on May 12, 2010

It’s Franschhoek Literary Festival this weekend and Franschhoek is going to be BUSY. There’s lots going on and obviously we’d love it if you popped into Môreson to stock up on your wine and charcuterie. Actually now that we think about it you could quickly pick up that case of the new Miss Molly Bubbly … see look how helpful we are.

If you’re planning on spending most of your time in Franschhoek we suggest you pay Le Quartier Français a visit. They have a great promotion running over the weekend. If you have lunch there you could walk off with either a R100 Exclusive Books voucher or a bottle of Miss Molly Wine.

Introducing Miss Molly Bubbly
Posted: Nikki on May 10, 2010

We’ve added a Méthode Cap Classique to the Miss Molly range. It’s called Miss Molly Bubbly and it’s DELICIOUS! Not only does it taste great but it’s also incredibly well priced – selling off the farm at R69.00 a bottle.

We’re giving away a case of Miss Molly Bubbly to the person who gives us the very best reason for deserving said case.

So why do you deserve six bottles of our new Miss Molly Bubbly Méthode Cap Classique? Send your reasons to nikki.friedman@moreson.co.za before the end of May 2010.

For shipping reasons you need to please be based in South Africa to take part in this competition. So to all our international readers I’m sorry … maybe next time?

Almost a Guide-Dog
Posted: on February 17, 2010

Over the 2010 Môreson Blessing of the Harvest we managed to (thanks to everyone who attended) raise a total of R8450 for the South African Guide-Dog Association for the Blind.

It takes R10 000 to fully train a guide dog, so we are almost there! Only another R1550 to go and Miss Molly will be able to say that she helped train a guide dog.

I’m sure she’ll just dine-out on that story. She’s not exactly the subtle type.

Môreson Wine of the Week – Miss Molly Hoity Toity Chenin Blanc
Posted: on February 15, 2010

For the next two weeks the 2009 Miss Molly Hoity Toity Chenin Blanc will be the Môreson wine of the week.

Miss Molly, the beautiful Môreson Weimaraner, is the love of our lives.

During the afternoon Miss Molly is most often found sunning herself in our finest leather wingback chair. Here she devotes her time to relaxing – receiving visitors, love and adoration at her leisure.

Hoity Toity Chenin Blanc is designed to capture the taste of our beloved Miss Molly’s lazy, sun-filled afternoons.

The 2009 Miss Molly Hoity Toity Chenin Blanc has undertones of fresh pineapple infused with layers of white peach and it is characterised by a fresh, full and creamy palate.

Basically it’s delicious and it’s the perfect accompaniment to a sun-filled day. So you’ll want at least a case. :)

New Môreson Wine of the Week
Posted: on February 1, 2010

This week – from the 25th of January till the 31st of January 2010 – the Miss Molly 2009 Kitchen Thief Sauvignon Blanc is the Môreson Wine of the Week.

Miss Molly is the Môreson Robin Hood. When no one is looking she redistributes food, from the kitchen counter, to where it’s needed most.

Miss Molly loves to share and she’s as free with her love as she is with our groceries. An easygoing, loveable rascal with heart-melting mannerisms that ensure she gets away with just about everything.

Kitchen Thief is a wine designed to do what Miss Molly does best – share with friends.

The Miss Molly 2009 Kitchen Thief Sauvignon Blanc is being offered through the Môreson Tasting Room, for lunch at Bread & Wine Vineyard Restaurant and in the Farm Grocer. What’s more is that a portion of every bottle of Miss Molly sold is donated to the South African Guide-Dog Association for the Blind.

What can we say … Miss Molly has a thing for guide dogs, she just can’t seem to keep her paws off them.
