Out with flutes

We’ve swapped flutes in the tasting room for Lehmann Jamesse Grand Champagne glasses.

“The decision was based on a long term idea that cultivars like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir should be expressed in a similar fashion that Burgundy is,” explains winemaker Clayton Reabow. “The larger glass with a wider mouth allows the aromas of the wine to be more liberated. I find that flutes naturally subdue the character of the wine; and it’s not cool for a dude to be holding a flute. Flutes in my mind are feminine glasses while the new sparkling glasses are unisex.”
