We have some exciting plans for the old Orchid Nursery space. Here are some pics as a teaser. Stay tuned...
This morning the furry kids decided that we had to take a stroll around the farm at 06h20.
You see there were important things to inspect, stuff that simply could not wait. Obviously.
These important items included vineyards, delicious almost-ripe grapes, holes, other dogs' bums and imaginary creatures that go bump in the bushes.
Today Môreson was up at sparrows thanks to the official start of our 2012 harvest. Clayton and his team brought in the start of our Chardonnay base wine and - as you can tell from the pictures - the quality of the grapes this year is excellent.
In addition this juice, which will be used for the Môreson Solitaire NV Méthode Cap Classique, is sensational … very clean; very fresh. Impressive.
On Sunday the 30th of October 2011 you can experience James Grace* on guitar at Bread & Wine Vineyard Restaurant for just R280. Flippin awesome!
This price includes a three course meal with a to-die-for menu. Picture … a selection of breads with smoked rooibos butter; roast pepper, potato & olive broth; red wine poached sirloin, parsley puree & bonemarrow; lemon meringue pie and coffee.
To book please call Bread & Wine Vineyard Restaurant on 021 876 4004.
*Acclaimed guitarist, two time SAMA nominee, KANNA Award winner for Best Male Artist at the 2010 KKNK, 2011 KykNET Fiesta award winner and widely acknowledged as one of the hardest working concert artists in South Africa, James Grace performs highlights from his award-winning catalogue of CDs including Music of Spain, Café Latino and World Café. James is joined by Christopher Duigan at the piano for selected new items from their ongoing collaboration of improvised guitar and piano music, exploring the tango, jazz and contemporary film music genres.
We heard late yesterday that we'd been awarded not one but two Diamond Awards at The 2011 Winemaker's Choice Awards.
Our 2010 Môreson Pinotage and our 2008 Môreson Cabernet Franc walked off with top honours. We are so incredibly proud of these wines! If you're attending our inaugral Plant Fayre this weekend you'll be able to taste both of them in our Tasting Room.
We will be hosting our first Plant Fayre (that's fancy spelling for fair) at Môreson on Saturday the 1st of October 2011.
Exhibitors, who will also be selling a selection of their fabulous wares, include:

We hope to see you, at the inaugural Môreson Plant Fayre, this weekend.
Every year we look at how we can add something more to the already exceptional Premium Chardonnay and I am delighted to be able to say that the 2010 is the best Premium Chardonnay we, as a farm, have produced to date. It shows significantly more fruit on the nose than the 2009 and the oak integration is – once again – sublime.
It is available, for purchase, through our online store. Don't miss out on this incredible wine. Buy a case today to avoid dismay!
Seriously you don't want to be the one person who misses out on this FAB.U.LOUS vintage.
